Peugeot has upped the ante for seven-seat SUV buyers by introducing a more powerful and better equipped 508 GT Sport variant for the 2022 model year line up.
The 508 GT Sport is powered by a 133kW 1.6-litre turbocharged petrol engine married to an eight-speed automatic transmission. It will replace the 121kW MY21 508 GT pictured above which has now been discontinued.
The MY22 Peugeot 5008 range now is comprised of the GT Sport and GT Diesel.
Peugeot Australia says the $61,940 (MLP) MY22 5008 GT Sport elevates the offering of the seven-seat SUV thanks to the added style of the ‘Black Pack’..
Featured as standard across the GT Sport variants, it includes blacked-out trim features and distinctive black 19-inch ‘Washington’ diamond-cut alloy wheels with a unique ‘Black Mist’ finish.
The Peugeot 5008 SUV GT Sport also includes Nappa leather appointed upholstery, with heated front seats and 8-way electronic adjustment and massage function for the driver, plus a sleek panoramic opening glass sunroof as standard.
“Since launching the GT Sport variant across the 2008 and 3008 SUV ranges earlier this year, we have seen an positive reception and increased demand for the highly specified, range topping variant,” Peugeot Australia managing director Kate Gillis says.
“Introducing the GT Sport variant to the 5008 SUV range, will provide customers the luxury features and style that has become so popular amongst our SUV buyers with the practicality and space of a seven-seat vehicle,” she says.
